Simba should be going to new home soon so got some pics he is really growing how is he looking?

i think he looks good, deffinately filled out a lot more! he is such a little cutie!
 
agree with saskia in that from these photos the eye cannot really tell.

that is because obviously Simba has a fluffy winter coat which would fool the eye into thinking he is in good condition....

the only true way to tell if he's doing well, is by a weigh tape...but he looks well enough in the photo's

wasnt asking about weight and he is well rugged so not that fluffy just asking in general how he was looking

Deja if you want CC you are going to get it. To my eye he looks fluffy and lovely but I am a novice - someone who knows more would be better to ask!

i'll ditto on that, my welsh C has no rugs all winter. occasionally a lightweight if it rains and i want to ride.

But does he have a problem with his blue eye??? In both pics he seems to have a discharge or tears making his face wet..(todays pics looks drier but crusty).

I think he looks okay weight wise, bearing in mind we are going into the winter. I would be a bit concerned that a welsh type was shivering in a medium weight rug. My pony, who is a very similar stamp going on those pics, has never worn a rug in the winter and copes absolutely fine.
 
some ponies are just wussy though..... my newfie has thick coat but feels the cold so she is rugged.
Really, it's up to the individual if they rug or not.
I would be more aghast about people using 3, 4, 5 rugs at a time... but it's an individual thing as I say, not up to any of us to criticise.
 
QR it is a bit hard to tell re the weight as hes so hairy - i have this problem with mine, thats why i clip him.

Just by judging a pic i would say hes a bit on the chunky side. But other than that he looks ok.
 
Maybe the tear duct is blocked..... probably not an infection or it would have got worse

i have found a home for the loan pony through the forum just waiting for them to get transort and collect him, simba was ment to be going tomorrow but the lady has lost her job so im going to loan some money and get him cut and re-avertised
