How is my 3 year old looking?

So here is my 3 year old gelding, comments and critique please

Won't even pretend to know anything about conformation so won't comment on that! Looks a nice sort, obviously lacking in top line and muscle but to be expected of a 3 year old not in work. Personally I'd like to see more neck but again that's only going to come with work. Looks to me like he's still got some growing to do from the height of that bottom??

He's going to be a nice smart boy, bet you can't wait to get going with him!

Thank you , yes I hope he will, his legs and bum look rather silly at the moment! He has come on leaps bless him, I wish I could I've just been told I can no longer ride often

its very refreshing to see a youngster thats not been fed like a giant, and so looks like one he looks nice, his neck will come! mines coming up three and his neck is the last to develop lol. good luck with him have you started backing him yet?

I am also no expert on confo. He looks a nice sort to me, and agree with others that the muscle on his neck will come when he is working. He does look to hvae a bit of growing room left
OP sorry to hear you cna no longer ride very often, hopefully you have some nice friends who will help you keep him working after he is backed.
