How late is too late to feed???

My friends likes her horse who is prone to colic on a strict routine. As it's just us two on the yard, my horse follows the same. Fed at 6:45-7am (including weekends) then turned out. Brought in and fed about 4pm. They have access to haylage 24hrs per day.
We try and alternate who does the morning at the weekend so we both get a lie in at some point.

Because it's changing!! Luckily for my boy I feed late, but I'm not happy with him not being turned out until nearly 10am on his out days. I hate the thought of him being without forage for hours on end and I work towards him being fed at around 8-8.30. This is what I was told was the routine.
Plus when I put him on full livery occasionally I have to live with the fact he may have a gap of 17hrs between feeds! Maybe I have unattainable standards/expectations and am therefore being unreasonable !
I completely agree with the YO wanting a lie in, I know I would!!! But what I don't agree with, is advising of the change and providing us liveries with a choice!

A Y/O should give notice if things change to the normal routine, but it is their yard and sometimes they do change things and it is their prerogative.

We change things sometimes if we are going out say to Olympia shopping day etc so start early and finish later. As long as the owners know what is changing then in my books that is fine whether the owners like it or not.

My horse gets brought in at 4 ridden then put I stable and feed between 5 and 6 when I leave I tie 2 Haynes up and throw them over the outside of stable so when the y.o comes round at night if her hay is running out he can throw one over and there is one to get thrown over in the morning. She gets hardfeed in the morning be tween 8-9 then gets turned out she used to be on just hay and grazing but I don't like her being left out around feeding time as she can c all the others getting fed

I was accused by one "YM" of arriving early to catch him out .... the horses had been fed at 3.00pm the previous night on the excuse that there was no power!
How much power do you need to throw in hay and feed at 6.00pm? I know they had torches as I gave them head torches for xmas.
I fed my horse and gave the rest some hay, ,he also accused me of not paying and refused to alow me to use the arena [I had an instructor booked], yet the arrangement was that I was to pay the :YO and not him. He then accused me of visiting at times to avoid seeing YO, I was not behind hand, it was a weekly cash payment, this was maybe 3/4 days after the usual day.
