How late do you think it is polite to call about horses for sale? (not calling now but didn't call at 8pm as I thought it was too late) :D

9pm is the cut of time for me (and my family) ringing anyone, unless its pre-arranged or an emergency etc.

I hate people ringing me too late. Some people dont seem to mind so its hard to say whats too late for others. Id think 8 was ok though?

The lastest i would want people phoning is 9pm. I can understand that some people may not get in from work/horses till 7 then need to have dinner then would want to ring me so i dont really. wouldnt want much later than 9 as that is the time im winding down for bed :D

I would probably say 9pm is the latest I'd call particularly if the seller is only available in the evening.

It's a tricky one because some people work so you can't catch them in office hours which only leaves the evening!

I would say 9am-7.30/8pm is fair although I would try and catch them around lunchtime first :) If someone wants to sell their horse, I'm sure they won't mind muting Corrie for 10 mins :D

thanks guys, this was my thought :

I think I will go for 8 as a cut off and ring a couple tomorrow :D Very exciting :)

I will phone between 9am and 9pm. No earlier, no later! I have had people ringing up at 11.30pm on several occasions when I have had horses for sale. I wasn't a happy bunny, as due to me having horses i'm in bed by 10pm and asleep by 10.30!

I consider any time before 8.30am and any time after 8pm to be a bit inconsiderate IMO, unless it had been pre-arranged, or if you knew the person well and they wouldn't mind.

Exactly this! I think those are reasonable hours to expect people to be awake - before or after that you can't tell.
