is it that i will find someone to ride my horses?

I have a hectic job and my roster for next month is manic so i will struggle to put the work into them they need.

I need someone that just wants to school and hack as i compete them myself - but think i will struggle as most people want to have something to compete.
Also as they are showjumpers - and reasonably fit - they can be sharp so i would need someone that really can ride - not thinks they can.

Im just off j13 of the M1 so i am in a horsey area - but i think if i actually sat down and wrote an ad it would make them seem like nutters - which they are not - but they do need someone who can ride?

I'm sure there are people out there who love schooling, I know I am one of them! Maybe if they got on well with your horses you could let them do an unaffiliated dressage comp with them or something as a bit of an incentive? Then you'd still get to do all the sj'ing with them but you may be more likely to get and keep a better standard of rider for their schooling?

you can ask ur local pony club as they may have some doing there 'b' test this summer who apperciate the experinace they porps woulnt want much money either hope this hepls

I'd say fairly plausible. All the kids that sold their own to go to Uni will want something over summer, and not all will want the expense, or stress of competing. Me included! Quite a few of the young people that kept their horses through A levels, the introduction of the opposite sex etc. will be fairly competent, as they were probably fairly commited.

i am happy for someone to do dressage on them - in fact i would welcome it - just as long as it didnt clash with my shows though.

forgot to say that i dont want any contribution as i am desperate for a rider - but do i put that or leave it out?
i also cant really afford to pay someone - if i could i would just have my yo ride them.

i just have images of people wanting free horses to ride....

i am very negative arnt i??

Shame Im 6 months preggie or I would have loved to offer a helping hand.....however I may know someone if you would like me to enquire.

PM me if you prefer and I can talk credentials (sp?)

There are some of us out there! I'm currently riding a Knaubstrupper Stallion one day a week, a 17.2hh as and when required, three 15hh ish as and when required and then have a managerie of 10 other ponies who I am breaking, bringing on and schooled. The owner of the 17.2hh is allowing me to have lessons with her instructor and has said that I can do local Riding Club stuff with the horse. The owner of the 10 ponies is taking me and one of her mares to the mares 1st ever show (in hand as she's only 11.2hh!!!) I'm thoroughly enjoying the workload and variety - some of these animals are sharp, forward and some are dobbins! The stallion it has to be said has a mouth like silk that you could ride with a thread of cotton! I consider myself very very lucky. However, if i didn't have this lot on the go and lived in your area I'd be beating down your door!!!!!!!!!! I don't have any commitments except my job which is full time, I leave the house at 7am for work and return around 9 to 10pm at night after playing horses all evening!!! Good luck in your hunt for riders and I hope that you really do get someone who is competent, willing and able!

Edited to say:

No I don't think you're negative, you just want the best for your horses. And yes there are way too many people out there that "think" they can ride but really don't have enough understand or experience with horses.

Shame im to far away, im kind of between horses my boy has been reduced to a Happy Hacker, So I am currently waiting for my yearling to come of age! I'm sure you will find some one.
