How long a walk?

If we are banned from going outside at all I fear I will have my dogs put down. I have very little outside space and a small house.
Dogs dont play at all so difficult to entertain indoors. Old lad will be OK but spaniel will climb the walls. Just doing the one walk I find difficult because I have always ensured they get 2/3 walks a day. I do think that London should be more tightly controlled as this seems to be the top place in the country for cases.

That would be such a sad situation. I really hope it doesn't come to that but imagine there are other dog owners in the same situation as you. If people started listening to the guidelines and stopped flocking together in groups then the Government wouldn't have to be forced into putting us in lockdown. I do fear that it will just get stricter and really feel for those living in towns and cities with little outside space.

From what I have seen and read it would appear that taking short car trips to exercise or walk the dog etc somewhere quieter is fine. What nobody wants to see are scenes like that of last weekend where people weren't adhering to the social distancing guidelines and were travelling in their droves to beaches, the countryside etc. As has been mentioned, gates, stiles, walls are all being touched, sometimes by multiple people, so we have been disinfecting our most used gates and washing our hands more frequently.

I wonder if the people still flouting the rules big time are the ones that are still using their mobile phones in the car, not picking up after their dogs, chucking their litter on the ground etc.

My OH walks the dogs all day, they have been checking the crops and the bangers today, after a 'walk'. Also, as it is on our own land I assume it's like walking round your garden.
Thankfully I am still at work and actually doing a tonne of overtime as I would be a nightmare on lockdown.
