How long after season to spay?

My rescue bitch came into season four weeks ago. when should she be spayed? Is it 12 weeks from the start of the season or from the end of the season?

At work we do it 9 weeks after, same at my mams vets.

when i asked my vet during betty's last season he said 3 months after the end of previos season.

phone your vet and ask them- think each vet has their own views and preferences.
