How long after sedation can she be turned out?

I know not to let her eat after being sedated ect. But for how long?? She's currently in her stable and alot brighter. been a good couple of hours since she was sedated. How soon can I turn her out?

I would turn her out.

Just keep an eye on her to make sure she's ok for about half an hour, she should be fine

I don't have stables so poor Monty is only ever put in the farmer's cow shed for an hour and then turned out and he is always fine.

I'm sure she will be fine. As f_s_ says, maybe hang around for half an hour or so but should be ok.

Yes she should be fine to eat grass.

Wandering around will wear the effect of the sedation off.

It's horrible when they are sedated as you worry they won't be ok, but I've never had a problem with mine as long as they've

a) come round and look reasonably bright and

b) I keep an eye on them when they're back in the paddock for a while just to make sure

If she's able to walk sensibly and looks awake then turn her out - just watch her in the field for a bit
