How long are mares in season for?

As the title says.

I have been tracking my mare’s seasons and they’re usually 10 days long, which I read is long?

She is better towards the end but still a bit nappy - today I asked her to canter and she bronced for a bit until I put a big more leg on. She is usually very nappy and explosive in the first week or so.

My mare was always worse at the end, when they ovulate.

Since having her on regumate it’s been a game changer.. she wasn’t mareish just sore and uncomfortable (I get exact the same) she’s been so much happier.
