How long are you turning your horses out for in this weather?

Im personally not turning out at all because my boy is on box rest but others on the yard are going out about an hour a day each in the one paddock we can get to.

She lives out 24/7

Usually about 10-3, before the snow it was 8-3 but I have to wait for the ice to defrost to such a degree to get him across the yard (which is only about 5 footsteps but I fell over on it the other day) !

Don' really like turning out on this ground but have too as school is also frozen. Mine goes out for about 30 mins as he then shouts to come in!! What a wusssss!! Its not ideal but I would never forgive myself if he got injured.

Mine isn't going out at all at the moment because every where is rutted and icy

all she get is half and hour walking on the lunge to stretch her legs, really not ideal for a horse that likes to be out 24/7!

My lot are out but can come in if they want, they live together in a herd and have access to two barns and the yard, they all seem to hover in the yard at the moment but I suspect that's because no grass and where I feed them hay. They all seem very happy with arrangement and get on very well, my two donkeys are part of the herd but they seem to spend more time in the barn than the horses.

I'm trying not to keep mine stuck in but we only got the snow on wed but I am having probs with a routine at the moment - I went to work today so I turned her out for 50 mins this morning and and hour tonight though on both occasions she just stood by the gate eating haylage when really I wanted her to stretch her legs. She went out for about 4 hours yetserday but I was able to supervise. Prob I have is finding other willing people to turn thers out for company and now its a bit difficult getting back from the fiedl to the stable. I hope to put her in abit of a routine this weekend so come monday she can go out as normal - 8-3!

My two go out for hr or two in the morning while I muck out and ferry water around then out in the afternoon while I redo the stables for bout half an hour. They are not allowed hay out in the fields and the snow is quite deep.
