Thawing fast here and the lanes are now little rivers where the meltwater can't soak into the frozen ground.
Soon the top surface of the fields and tracks will defrost and all that lovely water will mix into the top 2" of clay and voila! ankle deep mud. Then I'll be wishing for it to freeze again....
The amount of "fed up of mud" glorious mud" "mud mud mud" posts before christmas is just the same as the amount of "i hate snow" related ones, maybe i could come on here in summer and see no one moaning about weather or fields?? or am i asking too much
Then it'll whineging about the heat, the summer 'drought' and before you know it'll be winter again and the world of HHO will be back to whingeing about snow and ice again
What would we talk about if the UK didn't have such extreme weather?!
Well it is good to hear that some places are starting to thaw, I want it to thaw so I can get to my horse more easily, cant get back up the lane if I drive down it at the moment! So either have to get a lift for the last part or walk, which I am simply not doing at 5.30am of a morning, will have to ask YO to turn out this week until its thawed.
I would happily welcome the mud, but no doubt I will not like it too much, but I would prefer it over this right now
Well I haven't been whingeing much as I do love snow but I HAVE ONLY RIDDEN TWICE IN THE LAST MONTH!! Phew, glad I got that out of my system. The reason I haven't been moaning yet is because when it melts, my field will return to its usual swamp/bog/quagmire status
The joys of England! I may relocate
And now my official "not moaning" status has been broken.
