Toto moved yards on Sunday. He's not jumped for about 5 weeks, due to no facilities and hard ground, so he's been mostly hacking. Now we've moved, we have an all-weather arena + jumps. He's settled in very well and has been schooling. I want to jump him soon, as he's only been hacking and schooling for over a month, but I don't want to push him, as he has only moved 4 days ago. How long would you leave it after moving before jumping? :)

Not sure what you are waiting for Katie? The sooner you get back into your old routine the better all round!

get out there and jump jump jump :D:D

well I got off the lorry at my new yard and they were having a SJ evening so I popped him round before I put him in his stable! Never one to miss out on an oppertunity :)

Seriously though you dont let them settle in for a couple of weeks if you go to a show, he will be fine. Just do some pole work & a couple of x poles/ grids to get you started especialy if you haven't jumped for a while.

Get out there and do it!

When you take him to show he may not be settled and he jumps!

The longer you leave it the more you will put it off! :p bring a camera and get some nice piccies to share with us! :)

Some horses also do brilliant after a break from jumping so you might find he flys!

Haha yes I think I'm being daft :)
Yeah it's kind of a plan though, as he can be very spooky and nappy at showjumping, we both lack confidence, so I thought it'd give him a fresher outlook in the show ring, he's fine at home though, so I hoped he would be excited about jumping and then he'd be more willing :)

Haha yes I suppose :) Ah no I'm not putting it off, just wondered if everyone else would jump this soon, need to before the show anyway I suppose, just so he's not too hyper! :p
