How long do foals need other youngsters as company for?

Last September I bought a sweet little Welsh B filly to keep my own foal company. They are now yearlings. I have 4 horses in total: my foal's mother, my foal's half-brother (aged 8) and the two foals/yearlings. The thing is that my yearling takes very little notice of the Welsh B yearling and hangs out with the others. Welsh foal was very useful when I sent my broodmare away for weaning, but now she's a bit redundant. I'm wondering about finding the Welshie a new home rather than keeping her for another year. She would make an excellent companion for another youngster, is pretty and sweet, follows me around the field, first to gate, leads well, easy to catch etc. Or would it be best to keep her for longer even though they don't seem great friends? Photo of the little Welshie.

She's lovely but if your youngster is hanging out happily with the older horses I don't think I would worry about moving her on.
I think colts need other youngsters more so they have friends to play fight with and annoy rather than just annoying the older horses and getting walloped.
