Really need to put my horses back on a field that was fertilized on thursday morning. We have since had a fair bit of rain and there is no sign of the fertilizer. When is the soonest they could go back onto the field??

I think it's approximately 3 weeks but didn't you ask the people who supplied the stuff or who did the spraying? Check with the manufactuerers if unsure but it's only been 3 days so the I personnally wouldn't put my horse back on.

Why do you need to put your horses back on now?

Thanks for your reply :)
I bought it from a local agri merchant - store girls had no idea and it doesn't say on the bags. Guy who spread it makes hay but has no livestock so couldn't help. Another (sheep) farmer said it would be fine to spread while they are in the paddocks (!) but if I wanted to be really cautious, leave it a week?! I left my fields 6 weeks after spraying... I don't "need" to put them back on - but one of mine is dropping a bit of weight and one of the paddocks that has been fertilized has a fair bit of grass in it - more that the small paddock they are living in until they can move onto their winter grazing which was fertilized.
So it's not a problem as such, just needed to know what the recommended time was to leave it!

didn't mean to post twice, original came up as page not displayed so I thought it hadn't.. sorry:o:o
