How long do JRTs grow for?

Daisy is 5 months and still absolutely tiny (some pics in gallery but she actually looks smaller in RL), seem to remember my little dog stopping at 6 months and then filling out? Big dog took a few years but he is a giant breed so I understand they take a lot longer...

Daisy still fits into jumpers my friend had on her 11wk old JRT pup, a little one too!

I think they grow for about 12-18 months. Maybe she is a miniature!

She is meant to be a minature, or at least her mum was. I can still hold her in one hand lol!

Didn't realise they grew for that long, in which case that is probably about right.. her mum was about twice the size she is now.

Saw a pug the other day and it looked absolutely ENORMOUS lol!

small dogs tend to stop growing at about 8 months.

OMG so Boris aged 5 months got another few months ish to grow! he's gonna be one big JRT!!!! Seriously??? he's almost long as my forearm! and weighs about 6 kilos. and grows like weed!!!!

lmao! There does seem to be a lot of variety in the size of the russells... my friend has 2 sisters and one is MASSIVE while the other is a bit bigger than Daisy.

Boris is an excellent name for a JRT, any chance of some pics?

this when he was 14 weeks old... his collar is now on the last hole! need to get new pictures and new collar!!!!

well mine grew till they were about 12 months but i think biscuits ears grew for about 2 years!!

For small breeds, a good indication is to take their weight at four months and double it.

Can't remember exactly, but sure my JR did grow any bigger after 8-9months, but took another 4-6months to fill out.

Jack russells mature very quickly.Mine matured at 10 mths,my new 11 wk old puppy will mature quicker as her features are already defined.
