How long does a large straw bale last you

Just read a post about straw shortage D:
luckily my horse is on a working farm so we always have straw
but was just wondering
how long does a large bale of straw last for one or two Horses in winter if the stables are cleaned every single day

How many do you get through a month?
 
I have two on straw and they get throuvh between 1 1/2 to 2 a month of the big bales. Thats a full muck out every day and they have a bag of pellet dry on tje base which soaks up the wee and i take that out and replace once a week so i dont smell of straw.

And and the straw costs £11 a bale and the woode pellets £4:50 a bag

That’s a good idea with the wood pellets I might look into that!
