How long does it take to readjust to horse going?

My horse has been sold and is going to new home tomorrow. Ive been crying all week and am really going to miss her. I hate this bit the crying bit.

I guess it depends on why you have sold her, and what you have to ride now. For the last horse (and only) I sold, I was celebrating! All my others are keepers. Sorry to hear you've had to sell yours.

mine had to go on saturday......various reasons. I'm devastated.

Sorry to hear that Cazza525. It never gets any easier the more I do this. Id love to keep her but I know I cant. So going to miss her shes taught me a lot.

I have only sold 2, 1st one was hopelessly outgrown by my daughter and was always a bit small for me ( 13.1 and I am just under 5ft 4), he went 8 years ago, I bawled for days and I still get teary when I look at his pics and when we get a christmas card from him. The other one was big daughters 1st horse, they never realy bonded and although she was lovely I was slightly releived when she went. Doesnt stop me feeling a bit wistfull and hoping she is still ok with her new mum.
