trace clip a horse?
Just wondering cos someone has gone up to clip my horse and wondering how long she will be!

Depends how thick his coat is and how big he is. As in a shetland won't take as long as a Shire will

Sorry only joking but couldn't resist. But it really does depend on a lot of things also how sharp her blades are

ah sorry didnt exactly give very good info

i dont no what blades shes got but hes a 15.2hh cob x tb and hes coat isnt really thick.. yeh im not the best at explanations

it took me just over half and hour to clip mine , doing traceclips, on a horse thats lives out 24/7 so a fair old coat on him! although this was dependant on him standing like a rock!

but then it does depend on the blades and the horse...

Think it was about 40 mins for Tyler to get the basic clip done. The lady I had out to do it, then tidied it up and that took about 20 mins

Trace clips take me just about an hour. It's all those fiddly bits!

Trace clip took me an hour on my 15.2 thick coated Section D/cob, using Liveryman Harmony clippers. Clearing up in a brisk wind and then getting all the hair out of my underwear later on took most of the day.
