how long....field question!

How long do you guys generally leave your fields for after they've been topped before you turn horses out again in them?

a lot of people put them straight back on but personally to be on the safe side i wait until the topped grass is dead and brown mine took two weeks and that was in solid rain and no sun so hopefully next weeks weather looks better so it should die quicker!

I'd leave for a few weeks depending on what was used to cut it. We had farmer cut ours other day, wont use till sept but only cuz thats when we'll move them back from rented field.

mine stay in the field while it is being done.never had any probs.

Just needed to ask for someone lol....checked with a vet earlier too and he said it should be ok if they're just out during the day etc and not 24/7.

Thanks for the good vibes for Tommy too! Bless him...lying down resting his tootsies earlier so put his food on a plate so to speak in front of him still lying down happily munching away and having a cuddle. Love him lol xx
