How long for coat to grow back ?

F's coat has rubbed off quite badly because no-one adjusted his rugs when I was away for a week

We are suppoosed to be showing on the first of may, the rug has rubbed down to the skin. How long till it grows back ? (it hasn't cut or anything It has just rubbed according to his owner this always happens over winter because he has a large chest)

I would have thought it would be well back by then (but that could be because my mare has the coat if a yak!), esp as he will have his summer coat by May. There are some sprays and stuff you can get to encorage hair growth I think, if you are still worried you could always try that too?
