15 years and I still find him as handsome and lovely as the day he arrived. It has not been easy all the time but every day we have together is precious.

At 20 years old now I always tell him be healthy and be a good boy and say love you.

After 15 years he knows exactly how to get my attention, tell me what he wants and what makes me tick and what he can get away with.

Oh god I need to read more carefully??

No we read it correctly - Lucky Snowball went back and edited it for us! Mind you I do need to read more carefully anyway, I have made some huge cock ups on here skim reading! ?

So long that I can't remember when I got him. Either that or the brain-fog is thickening.
Ten years, at least. Or maybe fifteen?
I was chipping mud and winter coat off him today, and feeling maudlin re the deranged goblin's threat to dissolve the world. I told him that he was the best, most loved horse of my life and promptly burst into tears. ?

Thoroughbred mare, bought for daughter in 2007, retired, living as companion with my friend's mare
Thoroughbred gelding bought for daughter in 2011, pts in 2016, he was such a sweetie but very broken :(
ISH mare, bought in 2012, lost to EAM on 2015. she was my first own horse,
IDx Welsh gelding, bought in June 2015 til i had to have him pts in Feb, he was a diamond geezer.
Irish Draught mare bought for myself in October 2019, not sure if I will ever ride her again but I hope so

Guess I have never sold a horse, and the ones I buy are usually some degree of broken, but I've loved (and love) them all and each has bought me happiness in their own unique way. Lesson here is .... don't EVER take my advice about buying a horse :)

You all look like you should be in Vogue! So glamorous.

? thank you. I think they are just gorgeous but guess I would be biased ?
It was very funny trying to get a picture with all 3. Peggy does not like other ponies so refused to smile. She was so outraged having to stand next to them. ? I had 3 people wafting pampas grass and smacking it on the lawn, throwing grass in the air, doing star jumps and she was just not wanting to look up. How I love them!

I think I've told my girl "I love you" pretty much every day for the 20 years I've owned her, and she gets more kisses than any boyfriend I've ever had. I'm a very soppy owner, sorry not sorry!

Sorry, I mis-read the post. Current horses 18 yrs, 16 yrs and 4 yrs.
However, I did previously have a pony given to me as a companion who lived to be easily over 40 yrs old when we lost her.

Wonkymare coming up 3 years (Taken on as a companion to a previous horse, and very much still loved and adored, feels like much longer!)
Rising 4 filly 15 months now (Impulse purchase and by all accounts should be doing *something* but she's physically immature for her age so wait we shall)
Ridden 12yo mare 4 months (Impulse purchase in November... I spy a theme... Thankfully working out despite some hiccups!)

The chestnut girl I have had for 20years, literally my best mate
My 'new' horse is the dark bay, I've had her nearly 5 years, so thats still well fresh to me! They are both awsome.
I've recently lost my beloved dog after 12 years, so these two have been the thing getting me through.
