All depends on the mare I think - ours foaled about a week after her bum dropping.

Am hoping its gonna be really soon cos Madd has already had hers (see Pic Gallery) and we noticed Meg's bum last night but Meg is HUGE i've never seen a horse with such a big belly in all my life no kidding. Surprised her legs can support her. Her boobs are MASSIVE also so surely can't be very long at all now?

It varies. I've had mares go wobbly behind up to 4 or 5 weeks before foaling, and have had mares that only slacken off in the last few days. It's not a very reliable indication of how close they are to foaling, however they are unlikely to foal when these muscles are still tight.

but that could also be cos they had such fat bums! lol!!
