Hello,

I posted a while ago on here about a mare I had bought - she turned out to be in foal - which was a huge shock and I got some good advice =)

Anyway she has a had the foal all is well and healthy. But I cant afford to keep them, i'm selling them as a pair. It is very upsetting as he is soooo cute! The pair are going cheap for a quick sale to help cover some vets bills from when she got mastitis =(

But I was wondering what age can a foal be transported and is it safe to move homes with regard to immunity and things?

Thank you

If you're selling them as a pair then you can advertise at any age and they can go together. Foals travel quite happily standing loose beside the dam, just make sure they can't get hooked up on anything and cross tie the mare too.
You can also advertise for the foal to be sold seperately at weaning time (any time from 5 months old) but that means you need to keep them longer of course. Depending on what price you put on them, it might be easier to sell as a pair just now as the market for youngsters is very poor. Have you got any pics of them?
Sorry you have to sell.
