J have 3 in and am on the yard for around 7.45. I never finish before 9.45 sometimes later. That's 2 hours or more to feed. turn out, make up 4 haynets and 4 feeds and muck out. Obviously it takes longer in the Winter because I have to change rugs and they are in for longer. It just seems to take an age. I am sure it never used to take me that long. Maybe it's 'cos I'm getting old!!
That should be 6 feeds. I do feed them all!!

I have 2 in 23/5 (out at weekends, and for1hr in school during week) and 5 living out. It take me approximately 45 mins in the morning. The two in are fed, I do waters, change haynets (I make enough up at the weekend to last the week) and muck out. I change rugs, then go and check the ones in the field, check water troughs, rugs etc, then go to work. In the evenings I spend a lot longer with them.

Both my horses are on full livery

Beforehand it took me 1h30 for my mare. It was always a rush and I hated the fact I spent more time doing chores than riding. My job involves long hours and commuting which is why I had to change.

Takes me about 45 min to turn 2 out, put hay out & check troughs etc (they are stabled in turnout rugs to save time), muck out, do water & hang haynets/put hay in stable and all the bucket cleaning & barrow emptying that goes with it!

Plus I pop feeds in for others in block if they're having it...

Takes me about an hour to do just one! That's doing things properly, like lightly running a brush over her, picking out and spraying her feet, oiling her legs (with Pig oil), fitting her rugs comfortably, mucking out/laying fresh straw, doing her hay, water and feed, and turning her out.

If I'm rushed for time, and do the very minimum though... half an hour.

1hr. feed 4 muck out 3 stables. The 2 shetlands share and I leave the doors open so they can come and go as they please unless the weather is really bad. Have hay bars much quicker than haynets. Sharer usually comes up during the day and tops up haybars and adds more straw to the stables. Then OH brings them in and feeds them on a night

Well, during the week I'm full livery and I don't go up the yard to see Josie. I know she's looked after and that works best for me. Before I was on a demi DIY package at old yard and I hated rushing up in the evenings and being tired. It even got to the point where I resented going up to see her and I hated that.
Now I just go up at weekends and it suits me perfectly. Means I can spend as much or as little time I want with her. Grooming her, mucking her out etc etc. Normally spend about an hour and a half up there in the mornings and then go up again in the evening and spend another half hour there.

Once they are out - which takes about ten minutes - it takes me about forty minutes to muck out and re-do water buckets for two and wash out their feed bowls. I make my feeds up in the evening and hay is stored in the barn and I don't use nets anyway.

Dare I say 15 minutes? Harvey is out 24/7 and on no hard feed. I just check his rug - I have the PE Buster Trio, so depending on weather adjust/remove lining/neck cover. Check him over, check to see if he's made any more big holes in his field shelter, or knocked any more fencing down etc. and generally give him a fuss.
When I had my other horse, he was on DIY, out during the day, in at night and it used to take me about an hour. I felt like I never got to spend any time with him, as literally got there, fed him and took him down the field, spending the next 45 mins doing chores. I take my hat off to anyone who has more than 1 horse to do before work!
I will never go back to DIY if I can avoid it - I love my horse being out 24/7 and being in my own little world, as everything I do, Harvey follows me around!

I spend 1 & 1/2 hrs in the morning, I like taking my time and not rushing, I muck out, groom, change rugs, lunge or ride, water, feed, haynets. Although, if I over sleep I can get done in 1/2 hr without exercising her.

I dare say the same as you

make sure both mine are standing no blood spurting or legs sticking up in the air (sorry its what my friend asks when I check their horses during the day ), rugs ok, fence ok, water ok and then let the chooks out. If im working later which means I finish later I make up the haylage for my mum to give later.

1 hour to feed, turnout, muck out, water hay for 4 horses - do have a few time saving devices like hay bars and big rubber mattress though

1 horse takes me exactly 40 minutes in the morning, which includes 15 minutes trip to the field. That is feed, muck out, hay, water. I don't change rugs, he lives in his Bucas turnout.

2 horses to feed, change rugs, pick hooves, oil, muck out and empty barrows, hang up haynets, change water and clean feed buckets...plus 1 extra to turn out...all takes me 30minutes including 5 minute trip to the field.....but I do have a very good OH to help out in exchange for his lessons!

Depends how I feel, what the weather is doing and if I have anything better to do.

All out. Ad lib hay. Paddocks all within 200m of the house/barn so not exactly far to go.

I can feed the cats, rabbits and put the goat out plus morning hay/water tops ups, four legs and no blood checks in about 25 minutes if I want to and don't stop to cuddle cats or take photos.

Generally it takes me a lot longer because there is rarely any reason to rush. Nothing else to do during the week at least.

Takes me about 45 mins to an hour to do 2;
Feed, change rugs, turnout, muck out, do hay nets and clean and fill buckets for evening and throw some hay in the field. Then we spend about 20 mins in the evening, put beds down, make feeds, catch in, change rugs and feed! But i take forever to get ready to ride or lunge!

When i had my horse, it used to take me about 45 minutes to turnout, muck out, hay, water and feed before work in the mornings. At the weekend it was more like an hour and a half cos i would be chatting!, riding on top of that.

Takes me about 30-40 mins in the morning - 3 out 24/7, do all the usual checks plus feeding bunnies and chooks then i just have to wait for old pony to finish eating his breakfast

About the same in the evening aswell sometimes a bit more just spending time with them

plus an extra hour atleast if i ride which i usually do

I tend to go to the yard in my skirt, so I don't muck out properly in the mornings. I skip her bed out into a corner so she's standing on clean straw, fill up her buckets, give her some hay, take off a rug and give breakfast. Takes me about 8 minutes on average!

to do 7, all in overnight, takes me 2.5hrs to feed, turnout (dont change rugs) muckout, hays, waters & make feeds. But i do have help from my mum & they are kept outside the back door!

I feed 3 horses, pick feet out, turn out (already got turn out rugs on), poo pick field, soak hay and muck out 2 stables, takes 1.5-2 hours. Then 10 minutes in the evening to bring them in.

About 45 minutes in a morning to put haynet out, turnout, muck out, fill water, fill haylage net, empty wheelbarrow and make evening feed and breakfast for following morning (yard owner puts feeds in in a morning before we get there).

Evening depends how long I ride for. Bring in, tack up, ride, un tack, rug up and put to bed with feed, poo pick and fill haynet for next day.

Will be out 24/7 in April so chore time will be reduced.

2 mins to take retired cob her breakfast, then I eat mine.
Then 10 mins to take out forage to field and put 3 horses and sheep out. Then I get changed and go to work.
We do all the 'work' in the evening.

Similar, I have 8 to do and if I am in a rush I can have them all turned out, mucked out, Haylage + fresh water in under 90 mins...However if I have a free day I can happily spend all day playing! Night time is longer as they are all checked over, legs + tails washed, rugs change (only got 2 rugged) and I spend some time with each of them.

Arrived home about an hour ago thinking I had to muck out ( I was at an early meeting this morning) and found my lovely OH has done everything for me (says it only took him 40 mins)...My Hero

Very similar - I have two and go from home to yard - do everything so ready to just bring in at night and get home again within an hour. I live 5 mins drive from yard.

I have mats in the stables and although they have banks they have minimal bedding on the mats (they are very soft ones) so mucking out is really easy. I get there at 6 - if I get there later the stables are messier and take a little longer.

If I only had to do Scooby, it would take me about five minutes to take him his breakfast and make sure all four legs are still attached, since he lives out.

However, I work at the yard so when I'm on morning yard duties I have to feed 20 horses, change rugs and turn out four or five horses, muck out six stables (including emptying and refilling waters and haynets), fill 20+ haynets, put water in a couple of field troughs, clean all the feed buckets, sweep the barn etc etc. This takes me a very long time... I am a slow (but thorough!) worker. It probably takes between 3 and 4 hours if there's no-one helping me and I don't take a tea break! Normally there are two or three of us so it only takes an hour or two.

If I'm not distracted I can do stable, hay, water and turnout in 35-40 mins max - just one pony though and he's a tidy angel in his stable so very easy to do. Takes me longer though if I do it after I've ridden for some reason or if chatting to people along the row of stables.
