How long to leave field?

YO has muck spread one of the fields and wants to put the horses back out on it.
How long after can you turn horses out on it?
It's been around six weeks so would it be deemed "safe"?

Hmm generally when we spread muck on our fields we did it in the late Autumn and then the field wasn't used until June/July of the following year.

I wouldn't be happy to graze my horses in a field that was only spread 6 weeks ago, sorry; contaminated grass and all.

Well, that sort of confirms my thoughts on it,
I would have at least liked to have waited until after a long, hard frost before my lad went on it..
