How long to leave it to drive after a collar bone injury.

Broke my collar bone on Saturday. Been to fracture clinic today who said will review it in 4 weeks to check its healed okay otherwise might need to plate.

How long is it until I'm okay to drive ?

It was really painful first couple of days but now doesn't feel too bad. Still in a sling the majority of the time but have pretty good movement without much pain if have to move it about.

Really struggling without being able to drive.

If I did drive would this affect the healing badly ? It's my left arm.

You won't be insured to drive.
It will affect healing as Im sure for next 4 weeks its to be kept in sling immobile.
Wail until your 4 week check if good at that point then check consultant but you should be ok then to drive if he says so.
Sadly if you don't want the op and want optimum healing then don't drive. if you don't mind try it but remember while under consultant for this your insurance would be invalid and You will prob find if you try it it will hurt anyway.
