How long to wait before feeding, after excerise?

he doesnt really get sweaty that much, just a little patch in between his front legs and on his neck if he has worked really hard, which is a rarity

So how long do we have to wait after riding, to feed him?
Do you even have to wait?

I would wait at least 30 mins (from when he is already untacked and in his stable). I find that by the time you have washed the bit, cleaned the bridle, put your kit away, and tidied up you will be able to feed him and go home!
 
I usually wait at least 30 minutes, if he has got really hot I just feel how hot he is and if he still feels warm give him another 15 mins
 
It really does depend on what you are going to feed but at least wait until he breathing and heart rate are back at 'resting' levels.
 
It depends what sort of ride ive had to how long i wait. If ive walked a lot and have basically walked all the way home then ill give feed within about twenty minutes, if ive been hunting or something then il with-hold feed for about 30mins-45mins.
