I ordered some leather riding boots from an online supplier, unfortunately they were too tight so I called the company and they advised to send them back by my own courier. They were sent back on the 1st requesting an exchange. i hadn't had wnything back so gave them a call on the 13th and they said they had sent an email (never recieved) that the next size up would be an extrs payment - I then asked for a refund instead and was advised that they would process it.
Yesterday, still hadn't recieved refund so I called again. First of all they said they hadn't recieved them - when I said that I'd called and they confirmed they had and were processing a refund she then got very defensive and said they had 28 days to process the refund. I questioned why it was taking so long as I buy a lot online and have never had to wait so long she kept repeating the 28 days and then hung up on me! I called back and got through to someone else and they claimed the original person was on a call and refund was being dealt with...
I'm now getting very suspicious and concerned - how long would you wait before contacting your bank?

They have a month to refund you. Did you send them back by recorded delivery or do you have proof of postage? If you don't receive anything back within the month, and you paid by credit card, I would contact the credit card company with a view to get the money refunded via their chargeback scheme. I did it with something I paid for which didn't arrive and had no problems with the chargeback scheme at all. Good luck!
