How long would you say was reasonable.....?

How long would you say it is reasonable to have a horse on loan with a veiw to buy?

We're intrested in a horse that was advertised as buy or loan, after trying it out agreed we would like to take her on loan with veiw to buy. As we have never done this before, I am unsure as to how long is normal to take a horse on loan with a veiw to buy!!

I'd say 2-3 months max. You should have an idea if the horse is for you within this time.

When we looked to do this earlier this year we had 3 months in mind and those people that were prepared to do LWVTB were happy with 3 months.

Thankfully we got a part share of a horse who was already on our yard so we didn't do LWVTB - don't think I could've coped with 2 full time!!
