Went off Friday to clip the huntsmans two horses. Mum was left in charge of four legged beasties, dogs and horses alike...oh and dad

Bria apparently was a pain in the arse so mum put her in the stable which she lives in, Inuit dogs are 'pack animals' and mum put her in on her own. Anyway she jumped 6ft out over the wall and got in the back passage...whilst she was there she only went and.........

Ate aload of rat poison!!

I've chucked the lot out now, I'd rather have rats than a dead dog.

She's ok though, plenty of fluids in her....too close a shave for me.

Why is it you can never leave animals alone with people without something going wrong?

Did you take her to the vet? If the poison was warfarin based it will be absorbed into the dogs bloodstream and I don't think it can be flushed out with fluids. Warfarin kills rats by thinning the blood and causing internal bleeding which is what would happen to the dog. This happened to my brothers lab and it was a slow and horrible death and even the vet couldn't save her

Didn't show any sign at all, still the same dog, the only way I knew were from her poops.

OH said it won't affect her at all.

I wouldn't have been best pleased if anything had of happened!
