So far we have 10 mares confirmed in foal for 2008 - with another 3 to be scanned next week - and 2 more to be inseminated this weekend...A busy season next year!
Just seen your other thread - sorry she didn't take this time
- fingers crossed for another attempt.
Just got news of yet another scanned in foal to my boy today - a lovely big Austrian Warmblood - I think we must be v lucky (so far) as many people are having a difficult year.

My mare is being re scanned tomorrow after having a twin pinched out on Saturday morning. Wish me luck ! last time the twin was missed and we lost a set of full term twins.

Good luck miss molly! One of my boy's mares twinned - the owners weren't even expecting to get her in foal as she is a 20yo and had never taken by AI before, so finding twins was rather a shock! But the vet pinched one out and she is still holding - fingers crossed for her and for your girl...
thanks, think she and dollar are in cahoots to have loads of sex but no babies!!!!.........god your boy must be sooooo fertile! are the mare owners gonna send you foal piccies?? if they do you will have to post them so we can see your boys offspring!
thanks brackenhappy. Well - I'm a novice newbie, who bought a really super stallion by sheer beginner's luck LOL!
One thing I have learnt is not to get too complacent or take anything for granted. We've been lucky so far getting his mares in foal, but soooo many things can go wrong - and with about 7 or 8 in foal we've still got about 15 or so mares to go (some inseminated and waiting for scans, some have only just foaled, some still waiting to foal, etc, etc.)
Yes, we do know he's very fertile - tests at Twemlows showed it, and he's been getting even difficult ones in foal - but a v fertile stallion is only half the battle - the mares have got to be right as well, and lots of people are having problems with the mares this year...
