How many bales of shavings...

can you fit in the average LWB 4x4 with the rear seats down? I've found a cheap shavings supplier but I need to collect the bedding myself.


(Never had to collect bedding before, always had the luxury of pallet delivery!)

I could get 7 bales of throughbred shavings in mine.

We get 7 20kg bales in my mums ford focus with the seats down and am guessing that is probably smaller than your car. So would of thought atleast 7 maybe 8, think how you put them in makes a difference as at first we could only get 5 in but have got better at packing them in now.

What about hiring a flat bed van? can get loads on then

I reckon I could get 8 in the back of my Focus Estate, with one in the passenger seat!!

I work that on being able to get 3 with a 4th on the passener seat in a KA.

MY OH borrowed my estate car just as I was off to get shavings - offered me his Yaris instead. How many bales can you fit in? None, as it's a 2-door and the seats wouldn't go forward enough.
