How many bits do you own...and what's your favourite?

100s, so many i couldn't tell you, and most of them are snaffles!!
I find everything goes in a lose ring snaffle, or if it's a bit strong, then a runny gag!
Although that said, i also like the dexter ring bit, and obviously a few others that i can't think of right now.

I've got loads but most of the them I don't use. Some are from my old ponies, others I just 'aquired' along the way.

Off the top of my head though, I know I have

Eggbutt snaffle (this is the bit I use the most)
Dutch Gag (ugh hate hate hate)
Tom Thumb sweet iron bit with copper rollers
Loose ring sweet iron snaffle with copper rollers
Happy mouth full cheek with lozenge (which, disappointingly, rubs huge holes in my pony's face)
Cheltenham gag
Pelham
Weymouth/bradoon set
Various racing snaffles and bradoons I got at a yard clear out
Some wierd breaking bit that looks a bit like a liverpool bit but with no shanks/curb chain and keys in the centre. No idea what it is called though...

Many of these have never even been used. My favourite to use would probably be the Happy Mouth if only it didn't rub... My favourite to look at is the Tom Thumb.

I kept my show ponies *now moved on* birdle and bit *reminded me of our time together* so that which shockinly fits my ISH a hallow month joint ring snaffle and his own bit a loose ring, french link sweet iron while hes young, we hes older we'll no doubt change probs a myler or hackamore.

about 7 bits, and most of them are a mixure of different snaffles i.e loose ring, happy mouth, sweet iron, one with a swivelly centre.......

Hmmm i dont have many.Maybe i should take up bit collecting (getting bored of rugs now

Hanging cheek french link
Myler snaffle
Myler pelham
thick eggbutt french link
thick loose french link
D ring jointed rubber snaffle
D ring jointed copper roller
English Hackamore

Plus latest bit - cottage craft loose ring thin mouthpiece french link snaffle, only 6.99 brand new - and she goes better in that than anything!!! Typical!

Like the hackamore though, just can't use it for dressage - shame!

1 ported pelham

2 hollow snaffles
2 twisted snaffles (one nickle)
2 pacifier bits
1 popcorn pacifier bit
2 dutch gag
1 dutch gag with waterford mouth
1 german hackamore
1 english hackamore
1 english gag polo bit (2 mouthpieces)
1 english gag
1 american gag
2 hanging cheek
1 kimblewick
1 double bridle
Thats just at my house, you should see our stash at bekkas yard!

I love your signature!!!!

I really wanted to try a KK bit but my other half was over my shoulder as I was looking at them and to say he wasn't impressed at their price is an understatement!

I just bought another one! That's two today!

Ordered the copper mouth piece loose ring waterford. You just have to "try" them don't you.

I'm figuring Patches will like it. She's not too bad with the SS Waterford but it's a pessoa and she seems to not like the poll pressure, even when used on the main rings.

2 eggbutt snaffles
2 hanging cheek snaffles
2 dutch gags
2 ported pelhams
1 jointed pelham
1 rubber pelham
1 kimblewick

And every single one is sizr 5 inch lol.

I only have a few, but I use the same bit most of the time

1 pinchless eggbut snaffle - incase I ever do dressage (unlikely!)
1 myler low port comfort snaffle - use 95% of the time
1 lozenge dutch gag - for big hacks
1 snaffle dutch gag - too small so don't use
1 straight bar pelham - got for showing, but don't show anymore lol
And my bitless bridle, use occasionally

I collect rugs rather than bits lol

I have two

A waterford loose ring - I use for schooling, and jumping

A waterford continental gag- I use for winter hacking otherwise he is unholdable

Oh god I have absolutely no idea how many bits I have....tonnes of them and loads of duplicates because of all the horses I have.

The bit that stands out over and above any of the other bits is my sweet-iron chain bit which all my horses adore being ridden in. The next favourite one that they all seem to like it my KK Ultra B-ring bit.

Yep would have no steering and lots of broken bones without waterfords!
