Is it me or do my blades go blunt very quickly, I clipped one and a half large neds and they gave up the ghost leaving me with a fluffy bottomed 17.2 orange boy, thank gawd for a friend who leant me her clippers so the fluffy look only lasted a short while.
Can anyone recommend a good clipper blade resharpener who actually does resharpen as I guess the last bunch didn't actually get that well done hence the failure!

I get two to four full clips (depending on coat, cleanliness and size of horse) sometimes less if they are very hairy and i like to get them sharpened regularly even if they seem ok. I've used these people for many years and have always been pleased with them:

LIKE ALREADY SAID IT VARIES ON THE COAT TYPES BUT I TEND TO GET 5/6 CLIPS OUT MY BLADES BEFORE I NOTICE IM TIGHTENING THEM UP IN THE HOPE THEY KEEP CUTTING BIT LONGER, MAKE SURE YOU KEEP BRUSHING OFF THE EXCESS HAIR AND OILING THAT WILL HELP GET MORE OUT YOUR BLADES. FOR SHARPENING I USE SHEAR EASE

3-4 full clips on my huge and very coarse haired Irish gentleman! I use Sean Barrington from Stour Row, near Shaftesbury, he's quick, reasonable and my blades have lasted for years.

I reckon on about 5-6 full clips including a couple of very hairy ones.

I also use Shearease. They are very quick to return them and do an excellent job.
