How many different things do you do?

I've just got the 'show' bug and so far have been focusing on 2ft and 2"3 jumping classes and have also recently done my first 2 dressage tests.

I want to get better at both but also fancy having a go at some showing classes too.

Do most people tend to focus on a few things or should I just have a go at everything?

Have a go at whatever you fancy! So long as your horse is eligible for the class (ie you're not taking a TB into a Mountain and Moorland class, etc) go and enjoy yourself!

The max number of classes I tend to do with Genie is 3, although it depends on the show and what's on. I'm aiming to have a go at showjumping by the end of the season (I'm a wuss at jumping).

Yay!!

I've got a 14.1 welsh x arab so thought i might have a go at riding classes and WHP this weekend!

I do working/ridden hunter, one day events, dressage, combined training, and as many pleasure rides as possible. I don't show jump as in purely show jump anymore as my horse is too unreliable with spooky fillers and I have a slipped disc as a result but I would LOVE to do jump cross (as no fillers). I have also promised to take my boy to the gallops! I think getting stuck in the one discipline can turn your horse sour.

i go a bit crazy with my mare - mainly polo, but then also polocrosse, hunting, sj, maybe xc too, lots of pleasure rides. i would do dressage too - if i had time to school for it!

If your horse is up to it, why not?

My horses jump BSJA at Newcomers & Fox, but we also like to enter them in Dressage as it's a good way of monitoring their flatwork progress & we actually do quite well in it. Along with that sometimes we do Riding Club Horse & Working Hunter at our local riding club. It supports the club & we find it relaxing with nothing like the stress etc of BSJA.

In short we believe in enjoying your horses & doing what you want to do with them regardless of others views.

I don't do a lot of anything, but we do in-hand and ridden showing and dressage. I am hoping to do working hunter next year, and have done one driving trial, so do ride & drive at home too.
