How many events would be to much

I am wanting to go to a small local ode on the 7th May (bank hol mon), but would also like to go out competing the week(s) before.

I have a choice of either going out on the 22nd or 28th April, either a hunter trial or dressage competiton each time? I would like to go to the HT on 22nd april, but do you think that would be to much for horse going out a couple of weeks later for the ODE?

No you will be fine. A lot of top event horses will event 2 or 3 timnes a month providing the going is good. If it is hard you may need to withdraw from one or both.

no that is fine!! My horse did quite a big TC last week, BSJA yesterday and is doing an event on sunday! They are there for you to do stuff with - and they love it too!

Our horses go out most weekends if they are fit and enjoying themselves.

It all depends on the ground. Currently it is rather worrying...........

No not at all. I do it all the time. One of mine has done a XC the last 2 weekends, has an affiliated ODE this weekend, then another 2 weeks later.
