obviously this wont be precise but just out of curiosity, how many haynets do you feel your horses daily? large or small haynets, hay or haylage? and what type of horses are they?

well if my horse is in all day in winter she usually eats 2 large haynets one in the morning and then one before i leave at night, maybe i refill it in the day if its looking abit empty, she is 15hh lightweight horse and used to be on haylage but now happily munches on hay :D :D x

Two large haynets with hay at night, and one during the day (more or less depending on how much turnout/grazing he gets). Used to be on haylage but it's horrible quality at the moment so have reverted to hay which he's fine with too.

Ours all have as much as they can eat - so always have left overs. Mine has 2 really big ones at night -16.3 ISH. Mum and dads have 3 smallers ones - 16HH ISH and TB.

Mine has 1 1/2 haynets per night if in. The first haynet is rammed full. He always has some left over in the morning. He's out 24/7 at present with adlib haylage though. He's 15.2hh sec D in light work if that helps.

Big horses 4 x large shires black and red nets i.e nearly two bales of hay per day each, ponies about 1 i.e half a bale a day, plus good grazing in field all ours are ad lib and they have a little left in the mornings feed nearly no hard feed.

My Welsh Sec D is in at night all year and out on limited grazing in the day. When he is in he gets 2 medium sized nets of soaked hay - this equates to one third of a bale of small sized hay each night.

Mine has 1 large net of hayledge in morning and same at night. He's a very good doer and is only on a handful of chop for morning feed and a few apples at night. He's 15.3 ISH 12 year old, currently not in work due to weather.

We are going through 2/3 of a bale a day, plus a scoop of Alfa A and Topspec. Star is a 14.2 coloured DalesX, just coming back from being on holiday because of the snow, andlooks like she needs some exercise :D
