and would you consider getting another one?

Just wondering how many horses people have and what you do with them. Do you work full / part time and how do you fit them in? Would you want / have time for another horse?

my mum has 1 and i have 2.

Mum works full time and im in 6th form... doubt we'd have another one though, and tbh wouldn't want another! lol

I have 2 and work full time. I wouldn't buy another but would breed one.
During the summer it is fine as I finish at 4 so can get both ridden. In the winter I have time to quickly ride one in the evenings till xmas. Then till Feb I just ride at weekends and mum rides one for me during the day and lunges the other during the week.

Urrrrmmmmm 5 and an embryo

I think I have about 20 horses. I own a farm so am here with them all full time. A couple of them compete but generally they are pleasure riding horses and about half of them will be sold on at some point in time.

I wouldn't want to have just one horse - I like having at least 2 and don't think two would take up much more time than 1 to be honest.

I have 2 and work full time shift work. One is my sons pony and the other a youngster but he is off to a new home next weekend and I will be getting my new one then as well so things won't change for me there.I have time to ride 6 days out of 9 so plenty of time for riding and working my sons pony in winter as he can only ride weekends due to the time he gets home from school.

I work full time and keep mine DIY. I have one at present although hope to go back to 2 next week. They are kept for British Eventing so have plenty of work but I seem to have little time for anything else!

I have 5 horses and i have no plans to buy anymore in the near future. I work from home and also keep my horses at home. As 2 of them are babies and one of my others is semi retired i manage to work the other two fairly well, however i wouldn't want to have anymore to ride especially at this time of year.

I have 1, OH has 1 (a shetty), I share 2 with my mum but they stay with her.

I would like another that I could ride and compete while my youngster is being backed- its just money at the moment.

I currently work full time.

I have one horse, it will be two next summer when she has her foal! I work school hours, so time isnt an issue! Hoping to rent a field next to my house next year so that will be cheaper than livery ( hopefully!) I think 2 is the maximum I can afford! Would love more!

I have three, I have them at home, I work full time with fairly flexible hours. One is in full work, one is happy being ridden 2 or 3 times a week, and the other is usually ridden by relly's or friend or me if I feel inspired enough. Definitely wouldnt have more and hopefully next year last one is going off to stud.

well we used to have quite a few as we bred them when i was younger, had 10 at one point in time.
now i have one mare, she has been with me 15yrs now and is a star
i work full time, i did have two jobs until recently but just packed it in as i am doing two nights a week at college studying accountancy.
My girl is 17 now and when she needs retiring i will be buying another, i hope to be further up my career in the next few years and would consider a second horse before retiring her if i can, all depends really, but she is with me for life

I have had two for past year but am down to one at moment. I would like to get one that OH can ride next year. I did try and get him one this year but it didn't work out let's say. Oh and I work full time and so does OH so horses have always been on full livery.

I've 2 horses and I work full time. One is semi-retired and I ride him occasionally, we used to compete but he is 35 now. I compete my other in dressage and showing. I work flexi-hours so I am at yard by 6 am to do them so I can get to office by 7.30 am and finish by 3.30-4.30 depending on work. I ride my younger horse in the evenings.

I would like another but can't afford it or have the time with a full time job.

I have 2 and work full time. I ride my old boy as much as I can as long as I can get help by good friends to ride my other one ... Saturday and Sunday in the winter and another couple of days during the summer at the moment (well did!).
I would love to have a couple more it I had my own land as my theory is you should have 1 or 4 and nothing in between as that = a nightmare ... those of you who have 2 on their own should know exactly where I am coming from!
I also ride 3 other friends horses, which came about when my old boy was so poorly, but decided to carry on once he could be ridden again, as it is such a social event and lovely people

I only have one horse - 3yo Arab stally. I'm a writer so I can choose my own working hours, but I have health problems so he's on full livery.

I might get another horse sometime...but have promised hubby I will get the next book written before buying any more.

I have three (plus a foalie on the way)
One mare I compete, one is a brood mare and one a 6 month old filly.

I work about 10 hours a a day and they are on DIY - so mostly I am just knackered.....

Five here between three of us - one ancient, semi-retired 12 hander, three ponies and my little horse.

I work part-time in term time only and have the two kids who do lots - they are their ponies after all....

Plenty to do by any standards and absolutely NO plans to expand!
