How many horses do you have?

I have two and work nights part time

One is in full work and the other is semi retired. Two is enough as they're both over 16.2hh and eat like they've never eaten before although if we had our own land I would get a pony for my children

Far too many! Without counting as we have sold a few I think around 20 something, plus the livery and retired ones so about 40 on the farm in total.
We are about to have another cut down as so many youngsters coming on, so Flyn the nice 16. 2 hh will be advertised this week and Layla in three weeks time.
My "own" horse is now 25 and retired, but sometimes I pop on him for a wander round..
 
I used to have three but that was too much so I had to sell my grey NF Mare :0( I now have my 30 yr old Appy and a 5 yr old palomino quarter horse....cant have any more although would love a highland and a donkey...:0)

6 broodmares (although 2 are only half ours)
3 foals
2 yearlings (again 1 is half owned)
and a 6yo broodmare who will actually be backed this winter

I work full time running a stud/showing yard but about to go part time so I have more time to work my own horses

My older girl who my mother also rides a couple/few times a week - Star. And I then I bought Be to compete etc.

I am a student... which doesn't allow anywhere near the amount of spare time that most people assume

We have 6 horses, three of them are under 2 years old and are kept at home. Two are loaned out which were shown previously by us and the one we show at the moment is on a professional yard.
We dont want any more but my daughter is always looking out for something else.
We have our own tack shop so thats handy and my daughter works aswell and contributes to their care etc.
 
I have one of my own, who is turned away in a field for the winter so I see her once a day to check her and feed her. She is kept with my friend's 3yo who is also turned away, and I look after her for her owner and get paid. She may be buying a 2yo soon so that'll make 3 for me to do, but it takes 45 mins a day to drive over and do them so not a problem. I also share one horse, I do her 4 days a week including riding. When she moves away in the next month I won't follow her to her new yard, but I'll definately look for another one to share. I'd be happy to have another half though, ie. not share one but buy/loan one and keep it at my yard.
I'm only an equine degree student though, so plenty of free time compared to most! And my part-time yard job is fairly flexible (I do about 15 hours a week). Although I really should be doing more uni work...

I just have the one on DIY livery so he gets all the attention! I work full time so I don't know if I would have another one, even if time and finances allowed it.
 
One, starting full time work on monday, want to go uni next year.

Wouldn't consider getting another until I'm secure financially and with plenty of spare time!
 
I currently have 4 (2 ponies, 2 horses). The 2 ponies are retired. The 2 horses are used for BE, BSJA and RC. I was working full time until last week when I packed my job in and was finding it hard to ride after work (impossible with dark nights). Mine are all out 24/7 so luckily seem to keep themselves fit enough for weekend show jumping just now!

I don't want another horse, but I do like getting the odd pony "project" but not during the winter due to lack of time. In the summer with the long evenings then its not a problem.
 
I have two at the moment, but we are expecting a foal next summer. That is quite enough, when I had three I never felt I had enough time for any of them, it is a little better with two, but still a struggle with full time work. Although the foal will consume some time I am hoping that the mare will be doing most of it and i can concentrate on my gelding for at least one season.
 
Techincally 2.

I have an 11yo 14.2hh Welsh D gelding who is out on loan to a lovely family in Northants, and a 15.3hh Hanoverian 13yo mare who I have on loan from a friend of a friend.

I don't have time for 2 horses so am hoping the people with the pony will buy him in the spring as I really don't want to get him back. Love him to bits but all he will do if he comes back is sit in the field til I get round to selling him. He's happy where he is so am hoping he will stay there!
 
I have one and work full time. I just couldn't afford the time needed to keep 2 exercised esp as the rest of the family aren't interested - would cause probs.
 
We have 9, my dad works full time and I'm at 6th form, and we have 7 that are in work. The other 2 are a shetty and a welshie, but our 7, all 13.2, chestnut geldings get worked every odd day. Would would probably just have time for one more. One night we drive a pair and a single, the next we do the same and I ride as well.
