How many horses do you own!

2 horses 2 ponies at (parents!) home. 11 in total there as we have 3 retirees and my sister and brother in law have 4 little ones.

Technically I own 4 outright, 4 I own half of with someone else and the other 5 are owned by someone else, so I have 13 at home!

I own one - kept at a local DIY livery yard (although I use a freelancer for additional help). I've owned another one before current horse but have zero interest in having more than one horse at a time!

Before I owned I shared & loaned my way through school, college & uni. I think it's always been a popular option.

5 at home, did have 6 earlier in the year as I acquired my favourite pony's baby (baby is 20!) and they had 6 weeks together before my little precious one died unexpectedly. It lovely to have her baby though as they are very very similar in looks but personalities are very different 😊

7 !!! 2 ridden ones, 2 oldies, a 3 year old, a yearling and a shetland (he's on full loan but with us at the moment). The yearling and one of the oldies are off site in different fields due to lack of space on rented yard, so it is hard work. Should cut down really, so we are thinking of selling the 3 year old welsh

3, 1 on livery near me and in work, and a 3 year old and yearling at the stud they were born at. 3-year-old might come home to livery next year or the year after; I'll be looking for a sharer for the older mare then, mainly so I have someone to ride out on the youngster with.

1 but hes on loan and isnt ever coming back to me. I dont share or even ride now. I dont miss it. What I miss is MY horses. 2 went to brilliant homes, the other 1 is missing probably not in a great place and I deeoly, deeply regret selling her. Most I've had is 7, far too many!

I own 2, one at DIY that I ride, though she's currently off with a slight lameness, and one retired living with a friend who needs a companion for her horse.

1 on assisted livery. I do everything except that the yard bring her in for me during the winter so that she’s not left as the only one in the field when I’m at work.

Two at home, now. Have had 3 and 4 for quite a while, but trying to keep things easy now. Would like to get them into local farm DIY livery which is amazing, but nobody ever leaves!
