One owned and two are my friends but they are all at home. One of them is more of a share tbh.
This is very bitter sweet, I’m so glad you have her baby! Something similar happened to me my husband saw me admiring a horse (she was feral) and knew I liked a particular stallion so bought her and then had her covered and delivered. Oh my goodness was she a horror not naughty, would never kick or hurt you just “the rules don’t apply to me”. We really bonded though and sadly after we’d weaned I lost her and even though I’d only had her for about 18 months it was very sad. Her filly Violent is rising 4 now and I will start to back her and i haven’t bonded with her very well but I suspect backing her will put pay to that. I’ve over compensated with her because in a way I resent her a bit. And she’s also got a terrible habit of jumping out of fields although touch wood it seems to be calming down. Sorry I’ve written her life story5 at home, did have 6 earlier in the year as I acquired my favourite pony's baby (baby is 20!) and they had 6 weeks together before my little precious one died unexpectedly. It lovely to have her baby though as they are very very similar in looks but personalities are very different![]()
3, but I'd prefer 2. 3 is too manySo I have no idea how people cope with more!

Thank you that’s very kind. It is very hard parting with them and I’ve ran out of excuses for the current one so finally at rising 6 advertising. Have you looked into the usual ways of tracing horses to find the missing kids? It blows me away how great the fb jungle drums are at finding them or filling in missing stories.I've actually never sold a horse, and have now lost three, but have babies from all three still at home. It will be very sad when my gelding and the new little one go as that will be both them and their mother's lines gone. One I am desperately trying to get in foal as her mother was my first horse who I got when I was 15, unsuccessfully so far, one pony has a foal out there somewhere but no idea where or what's she's called except the stud prefix and the last horse will have at least one foal at some point as she's marvellous. None of these future babies will ever be for sale and if I could find the 'missing' baby of current little pony I'd have her too if possible
I do get what you mean re comparing them to their mothers, have a hug![]()
