How many hours a day (on average) do you spend at the yard?

Through the week I pop down for 30mins in the morning to turnout and put his bed up, then come back after work for around 2/2.5 hours to ride and finish my jobs. Then at the weekend it totally depends, sometimes all day, sometimes if i've had a busy weekend going out with friends etc I pay someone to turn him out in the morning and go up for an hour to do my jobs n bring him in in the evening!

I really don't understand how people have time for a full time job and 2+ horses, when they are stabled on DIY livery! Super women!

I have 2 horses and both are on part livery. Therefore -

Winter - 1-2 hours (max) weekdays, and 3-4 hours at weekends

Summer - 3-4 hours weekdays, and 5-6 hours weekends

:D

Varies day to day.

If I'm working probably 30-40 mins.

If I'm off around 1-2 hours.

Riding/lunging/mucking out/ proper grooming then upto 3 hours.

I try not to be there all day as they live out so once my jobs are done I leave them in peace :)

If I ride in morning then 1.5hrs (up at 5:15am) morning, at work 8am til 4 and an hour pm before going to teach 4 fitness classes and finish at 10. On days I don't teach, spend an hour in morning and 3 in evening, but my oh is in army and lives away so I'm not losing time with him.
