How many jods/breeches do you have on the go at any one time?

As title really.

Just wondering! I usually wear one pair till they're at a stage where they're quite capable of going riding on their own BUT today we had a saddle fitting so I thought I'd better put on something that was (a) clean (!) and (2) comfortable, which means that I've now got two pairs of jods on the go concurrently.

So was wondering what everyone else does? Presumably you competition peeps just bung on your posh jods and then bung 'em in the machine, job done, but what does everyone do?

Do you have a one-use, then wash policy? Or are you completely decadent like me and just wear one fave pair until they're crawling?

this made me laugh, thought I was the only one. I can have and often do have 3 on the go, I normally wear jods twice but not one day after the next. (don't want to look like a complete tramp) although I obviously am. lol

It depends how dirty they get, but i usually have about 3 or 4 pairs on the go each week.

Usually 2. Ones I use for riding, and ones I just use when I'm only going down to do dirty work! Obviously I don't change in and out of them during the day for when I want to ride, but I wear the riding ones on the days I ride, and the yard ones for the days I don't.. No idea why, but I just don't like riding in the ones I use for the yard! xx

I always seem to end up with slobbering mess all over me from my mare. She loves nuzzling me after I've ridden, several times. I swear she does it on purpose as punishment, I end up with breeches and my top smeared

i have two pairs on the go at any one time... i wear them maybe three/four times before washing them. def wouldn't wash them after every wear simply because they'd start looking shabby quicker and the elastic would suffer!

incidentally, there are £17 black heavy duty ones on Tesco direct that are the best jods i've ever had! i only ever buy them now for hacking etc!

I wash mine everyday I am a groom and it would be very unprofessional for me to turn up for work in dirty clothes.

The Tescos jods are brilliant! My last pair lasted a good two months of hard wear.

It depends a bit what I'm doing, if its a visit after work, catch horse, wave a dandy brush at it, slap the tack on, quick hack, top up water and chuck her back in the field then those jods will be worn til they crawl into the machine on their own. If it's dirty work, raining or boiling hot then would probs wear them once or twice - its more whether I can bear them ponging in the house that makes me decide to wash them!!

I only have 1 pair of jods which are washed every night

I usually have 2 to 4 on the go at once. wear them 2/3 times then wash, unless obviously get dirty then wash more

After all they are only worn a few hours

I have 2 pairs I wear for the yard, they get washed & worn so many times and last about a year.

I have a few pairs but 2 that I love!! I make one pair last a week and I ride about 2/3 horses a day plus yard work so they do crawl off me by the end of the week

I have about 5 pairs I wear regularly and another 2 I don't wear as often as they don't fit as well.
Each pair gets worn twice before they get washed.
