....would you do in 1 week?

I have just looked at my diary and realised I have really over booked the lessons next week. Unfortunalty the lessons have all come up at the same time and I just couldn't say no

So, I have a polework / jumping session on tuesday

(I am not normally a jumping person but am trying to give my girl some variety!) then a flatwork lesson on wednesday. I then have a dressage to music clinic on saturday and another flatwork lesson next wednesday!!

Is this too much? She is nearly 6 but very green, most of the lesson are really just getting her used to being out and about.

I must say though, I am really looking forward to all of them

, but my bank balance isn't

I can only afford 1 a month amongst the show /ride entry fees aswell - if i could afford it and had the time i would definately do 1 or 2 a week every week - that would be fab.

As a matter of interest, what sort of cost is a lesson nowadays? Generally.

I was talking to a friend the other day and she said that she's had to practically give up riding (not a horse owner) as prices were so high. I do understand why of course but am totally out of touch with prices.

At the moment I only have 1 lesson a week, and have my instructor ride Danny once also - so she sort of gets the feel of how he's going, and gives HIM a lesson

Probably going to change that to 2 lessons a week soon (1 jumping, 1 flatwork) with her schooling him occasionally. Would happily add in as many more lessons with various instructors as possible after that! Can only be a good thing, surely?

i have 1 lesson a week - if could afford would have 2 - i pay £30 for 45 mins if i go to her or £35 if she comes to me

The flatwork lesson will be £40 per hour, I think the polework session £20 for 30 mins and the dressage to music clinic is subsidised by the riding club so £15.
I honestly haven't got pots of money I work overtime to pay for my lessons!! I uaually have 1/2 a month but these ones just seem have all fallen on the same week!!
I'll have to not have one for a few months to pay for them all

!!

I have try to have 1 every other week, and only pay £10 for an hour with a fully qualified instructor who holds the ABRS Riding School Principal's Diploma. She is also a very good friend though!

Yay your first BD cool

where are you off to?
I'm being greedy and having 17th and 24th as its pay day on 24th so I can count that as a next month lesson

Are you going to Charles demo?

I NEEEEED some lessons... going to try and sweet talk my boss/YO/RI into giving me some free lessons when the weather picks up.

It's £25 for a 45 minute private lesson with her (or it might be half an hour... can't remember), which I don't think is too bad seeing as she used to be a professional dressage rider. Still can't afford it though, so all wheedling tactics will be in full force!

As for cost my midweek ones are free (3 free lessons for christmas and 3 free lessons for birthday). My weekend one is a bargain because very close friends with instructor
So all in all 2 hours worth of teaching for £10.
My instuctor is a BHSI who has evented to advanced level

Its at Golden Cross, thought I'd do a nice local one for the first time!

Yes really want to go to see Charles again, are you going? Shall we go together? I'm off work that week so as long as I can get Rachel looked after it's fine any day.

You in the team for monday?
