How many levels in one day?

When out competing, in just one day, how many levels is it "fair" to compete in?

When stepping up and trying a new level, I use the level I'm comfortable at as my warm up.

But recently whilst out I seem to come across a rider, at unaffiliated, that is winning at Elementary yet still competing at prelim and novice all in one day on the same horse. Is this really fair on the other riders?

Surely there needs to be rules implemented?

Or I am I just too nice and honest?

I'm the same as you, I generally do two test when I go out competing.

Whether it's both at the level I'm comfortable competing at, or using a comfortable test as my warm up and the next level as my test to see whether we are there or not!
