I was just thinking that when i was younger riding schools and livery yards were full of ladies and girls but very few men!

Now i think this has changed and a lot more males of all ages are invloved with horses, so come on male forum members say hello and let us know how you got into riding !

There are a few of us on here.
I got into riding some years ago when the wife started going on riding holidays whilst leaving me at home.
Decided to try it myself and liked it, so then started going on riding hols together.
Done all sorts including a horseback safari in Africa.

Now have our own horse so no more holidays!!! lol

I am male and have a horse on full livery. I am just buying my own place with land. Took up riding 12 years ago on a whim.

I learned to ride at Trent park North London when I was a kid and have ridden on and off ever since. I progressed from Trent Park to Pine Lodge in Epping Forest when I was 18.
Pine Lodge was a great place and have many fond memories :D
I now live in France and own Armas Banquero he is a 7 year old PRE and I love him to bits.
So that me !

I got into riding late when my horsey next door neighbour gave me lessons on her Percheron (the horse on Big Barn Farm) for those of you who have kids! Ten she went as broke her ankle so I ended up looking after her 7. Now I have a hairy coblet called Oscar!

Another male here my link with horses is I'm a Saddler, I don't ride or own and horses, just get involved with everyone else's but I have dogs instead see below

Oz, you are in dire need of a strong woman to take you in hand. May I suggest JHoward? She would tidy that room in a flash! You look nothing like the image I had in my head!

Tescoexpress, seriously? What made you choose that name?!

My husband is a horsey male, but he doesn't post on here, well he has dine once or twice........

We met in a riding lesson :)

My nephew also rides and wants to work with horses when he grows up. The riding school where he rides say that they have about 50% boys up to secondary school age.
