I got my first pony when I was 12, I had been learning to ride for 6 months and had only cantered once before and had never jumped! The first jump I ever did was on him the day I tried him out!
I learnt so much from him, he was a 13.2 grey gelding called Tiny Tim, we were told he was 11 but he was about 15 and an ex JA showjumping pony (we found out later) and quite well known in the area. I won a chase me charlie on him at our first show, we jumped 4ft 6 lol!

I now have 1 horse, also a grey gelding! But have at one point had 6 horses and then 3, now just 1 and that's enough!

don't worry HDR you will get one at some point and when you do it will be even more special!! as my mum always says 'sometimes the best things are worth waiting for!!'

I got my first pony when I was twelve and sold her a few months ago. I got my first horse when I was 15, in the summer. I used to have two ponies, but now my one horse can do all that they could and much more. I also ride and look after my mum's pony quite a bit, though he is'nt mine.
 
I own 3, one is currently on loan to a lovely lady up north, one is a companion pony and the other is my riding horse.

Got my first when i was 24, 5 years ago!
