only since it snowed...it is offically cold now!! and they are both clipped out and their HW rugs have neck covers, bloody things are probably too cosy now as they stand there looking at me from the top corner of the field not wanting to come in.... oh and they also have mw stable rugs underneath..

My fully clipped cob apart from fluffy leg warmers is still in m/w. I wouldn't go higher yet as it's not cold enough.

Ethel is partly clipped and is wearing a LW stable rug under her HW turnout with a neck, she's a TB and is rubbish at keeping weight on. Went to see her tonight for the first time since Saturday (been ill) and when I felt behind her elbows she wasn't warm at all under the HW. I keep the same rug on her 24/7 when it's cold like this, don't see the point in putting a cold stable rug on a horse who's nice and warm in their turnout plus her stable leaks a teeny bit
