Nope - my OH struggles to even heat up a pizza!

But he is a dab hand with the hoover and duster if it is really necessary

I'm never in so he has to or he'd starve. He does pasta followed by curry followed by pasta followed by curry. Once a fortnight he goes to his mum's and has chicken for tea.

I haven't the attention span to cook and I could live off toast.

Where do you find these people, I want one...

My OH isn't very kitchen orientated, I'll cook from mess tins so I'm burdened with that on top of everything else

I have a cleaner (mother of 1 of the grooms at my yard). She also does my ironing (my most hated job). Worth every penny as I would rather spend my free time doing things I enjoy.

I got a brill cook book from the book people the other day at work it was only £4 and had 1000 recipes too. Anyhow whilst shopping the other day he asked me to get some ingredients and when I got in from work ( as his day off) I came home to a cake, some flapjacks and home made biscuits I was well made up.

My hubby is a fab cook, really good. In fact he does most of the cooking these days - so loves it when I finally get round to cooking for him. Which is about once a month now, if that bless him!

My husband is a good cook. This is his Saturday routine....

Get up at 9am, switch on TV, watch Saturday Kitchen for inspiration. Make notes.

12pm, meets best mate for a few beers.

5pm, sprints round town shopping for obscure ingredients, tamarind paste, dried goat etc.

7pm a few more beers with best mate.

9pm starts cooking

11pm wakes me up....I;ve usually passed out on the sofa by this point from starvation. Presents me, with a beery flourish, with a dish that appears to consist mainly of chillis, with a side dish of chillis, and garnished with chillis. Looks sad that I can only manage two forkfuls before spontaneously combustng from the eat, then manages to finish off the lot himself.

Bless him, he tries.

Also, has anyone else noticed how men are like scientists in the kitchen? Carefully weighing out every ingredient to the last fraction, while us women are better at judging the ingredients by hand....a pinch of this, a glug of that.....hurl it in and stir. I think it's because we're used to mixing feeds.

Well I am very envious of those of you who say they're partners/hubbies do the cooking. My falls into the category of "can put a pizza in the oven". I also do all the other boring bits, which if I am honest am finding is seriously getting in the way of my riding hmph. Winge over

My lovely husband is a fab cook!

In the last couple of years I have felt guilty for making him do all the cooking, so I now try to cook 3 times a week (forced him to teach me!). Also managed to get him to do the vacuuming today, in exchange for me doing a huge load of ironing this weekend - will probably take me a couple of hours, thank goodness for Horse and Country TV!
