How many of you have two bridles: one for best, one for everyday

I have one everyday bridle, and another clean and posh one for dressage. They both have the same bits in.
Oh and I have one more, but it's made up of old spare bridles and doesn't look too fancy but it's there if I need it.

I love shopping for bridles, I'm surprised I don't have more :)
:D :) :D

thats what i have but the bridle that is made of spare bits is my lunging bridle

I have one for every day, one for hunting/jumping etc, a Jeffries one for showing/dressage and a synthetic one for lunging :o I also have a few different nosebands - a grackle for hunting/jumping, a cavasson for showing and a drop for dressage - and 4 different browbands! None for everyday as he needs to look like a gypsy cob some of the time :P

I also have 4 different headcollars for T and 2 for my youngster who I've owned for 2 weeks! Hoarder.

My pony has one with a kimblewick - for shows and hacking and one with a french link for schooling. Supposed to be one good and one everyday but this saves faffing with changing bits.

Other pony only has one thus far - not backed yet but am sure once she is she'll have a good and everyday one.

Muffinino - I don't want to count my headcollars. I can count of at least 9 off the top of my head for 2 ponies - 3 belong to the youngest which means Til has at least 6! :EEK

Mine has two, a plain black flash bridle with martingale for everyday schooling/hacking etc and then a fancy whitaker grackle with breastplate for jumping :)

hacking bridle
double bridle
western bridle
sponsored ride bridle

and 3 saddles

Ohh no I've just discovered I've got a bit of a bridle fetish

2 best ones, one for dressage one for jumping.

1 old best one for lessons, hunting and fun rides

1 everyday for flat, and hacking

1 everyday for jumping

1 old one for ground work and lunging.

I may have to cut down, no wonder it takes me so long to clean my tack.

My fave though has to be best dressage one, it's got a lovely thick padded noseband and a padded head piece, really lush

Bit different to most of the posts. I have an endurance bridle that I use in the summer, at endurance rides etc as you wash it in the washing machine! I have a leather Keiffer Bridle for our cooler rides!!!

oh god...I've got a grand total of 5 in use all on one horse
A snaffle, with drop noseband, nice reins and brass browband for dressage competitions and lessons.
A jumping bridle, with gag, grackle, martingale, brass browband to compete in and some lessons.
A hacking bridle, with grackle, breastplate and another different bit, which I use to hunt and jump at home as well as hack.
A plain cavesson with snaffle to lunge, lead him from whilst riding the other one and occasionally hack.
A double bridle, for when we do higher level dressage tests.
Rediculous, I know, but I do use them all regularly
and I did at one point have just the one bridle between 4 ponies....

Hmmmm only 2?

At the last count I had:

1 Keiffer double
1 Stubben double
1 Heritage double
1 Heritage snaffle
1 Heritage flash
1 Pink Equine snaffle
1 Ludomar (spanish) double
1 Mark Todd snaffle
1 Lemetex snaffle

And I have an Equus black patent snaffle on order :o

Don't even start me on my bit collection

D has a home one and a posh one. But it is because his bridle doesn't match and some of the leather is starting to split so it looks messy but once it breaks he will just have the one

I have three :D

An Elevator bridle for flatwork

A Jeffries bridle... bought for when we eventually start showing (it was cheaper than the Elevator but it looks prettier)

An english leather bridle for lunging.

Horse is spoilt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never understood why people had "spare" everyday bridles, until last weekend when naughty youngster decided to dump me in a ditch and p*ss off, found him in an open field with only the nose band left in tact, everything else snapped and hanging off him (horse unharmed looked pretty chuffed with himself!). Usually he has his £10 bargain bridle for everyday (cleaned regularly and in excellent supple condition) and his lurvely Stubben for dressage/shows. Now new loan pony (is using the Stubben one as his "made to measure bridle is cracking, dry, and hangs of him so when he goes back I can't be blamed for the state of the bridle (and he's pure black and the Stubben is black with white pipping so looks stunning ;) )

M nearly has a whole bridle - 'cept for the noseband...Only having 6 pieces of leather plus a snaffle makes tack cleaning quick :D
